Sunday 26th March – 4.30pm
KEITH: The Flower
Taken from a single audience suggestion we’ll create a character driven world of improv fun based around a powerful mono-scene. If it’s ‘Harry Potter’, we’ll be at Hogwarts meeting a whole host of characters that definitely weren’t in the books. If it’s ‘Banana’ maybe we’re at a yoghurt factory meeting Barry who’s secretly in love with Philippa, the lady who fills the pot corner. We’ll blow out the world taking our audience on a totally insane bunch of immersive tag runs too - there’s no telling where we’ll end up but it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if you find us on the moon and Dot Cotton’s still alive.
Set up by comedy legend and Free Association director Mike Orton-Toliver in summer 2014, KEITH comprises graduates of Monkey Toast, the Free Association, UCB, The Oxford Imps and more. We’re improvisers, actors, sketch comedians, radio and TV personalities and sure that might sound pretty showbiz but we also have an accountant and a teacher #keepingitreal. ‘Harolds’ are Keith’s improv bread and butter but under the watchfull comedy gaze of our coach Graham Dickson (Austentatious / Channel 5’s Boderline) we’ve perfected ‘The Flower’. In 2016 Keith performed this exciting new format at UCB’s Del Close Marathon in New York City. We’ve also performed with The Nursery at the Edinburgh Fringe and are taking part in the Free Association's Charity Weekender this November.
