Sunday 19th April – 4.30pm: We Are Improv: Four Walls.
The show is called 4 walls and is set in one indoor location which is provided by the audience. The three improvisers are not allowed to leave the stage and one continuous real time scene occurs.
We will begin by taking written audience suggestions of location and character names, with this inspiration we will then scene paint the stage before running a 50 minute monoscene.
2 audience suggestions
1 time only
Cast: Katy Bateson, Tom Meaney, Rowan Brook-Thompson.

What was the best piece of advice on improvisation you’ve ever been given?
Follow the fun! Sometimes you can get too focused on making sure that everything makes sense and that you're following all the rules that it's easy to forget why we fell in love with improvisation in the first place, for the pure joy and fun that improvisation brings us.
What is your favourite improvisation exercise and why?
That's so hard to choose! We love so many games, but one of our all time favourites is Bunny Bunny. We play a different version to a lot of other groups we've met, we love it because it focuses us in the room and sychs us together. We like to play it as fast as we possible can so you've no time to think!
What’s your pre-show ritual/warm-up?
We like to play word association, this helps us to listen to each other and to connect. It brings us mentally and phyically closer and helps to ground us. Then we have hugs and Katy tells everyone how awesome they are! There's a lot of positivity and love in our warm ups!

Anything else you’d like to add about your show, your group, improvisation, or the world in general?
We love improvisation and everything that it stands for! And our show is so much fun, we even have a dog on wheels. What more could you ask for?!
