Sunday 19th April – 1.30pm: Pina Colliders.
We like Pina Coladas and getting drunk in the rain. We also mishear song lyrics. Our show attempts to answer mankind's most burning, existential questions such as ' how many accents can one group do poorly?' or 'Why does that one girl keep looking at me like that?' Outside of these queries, we perform a collection of short form improv games based on audience suggestions, making them feel loved and helping them forget about their bad childhoods.
Cast: Alanah Murphy, Angela Pollard, Heather Shaw, Liz Monahan, Rachel Marriot.

Tell us about your group
Like any cocktail, we have LAYERS. We are a handful (5) of Expats and English friends who decided that we needed to do improv together. We are Alanah, Angela, Heather, Liz and Rachel. We have been a group since June, performing since July and have in our short time performed with many well-known groups such as The Maydays, Glitch the Improvised Puppet Show, Giggle Loop and more.
What was the best piece of advice on improvisation you’ve ever been given?
Just say "yes".
What is your favourite improvisation exercise and why?
8 things - List 8 rejected David Bowie Albums for example. The player with the quickest and most original answers wins eternal glory- and a glass of wine after the show. It forces every one to be creative and think on their feet.
What’s your pre-show ritual/warm-up?
We like to spend 5 minutes venting about anything bad that happened to us during the day, that way we get the negativity out. We then play a few high energy games. There's often a lot of singing involved.
Recommend a book on Improvisation
Jill Bernard's 'Small, Cute book of Improv'.
Anything else you’d like to add about your show, your group, improvisation, or the world in general?
Just because there's 5 of us doesn't mean we're the improv spice girls.
