Tuesday 21st April – 7.00pm: Pin Up Squirrels.
The Pin-Up Squirrels are an all female sketch and improv team from New York. Tonight these funny squirrels will perform an improvised biographical "film" or biopic based off the audience's suggestion of a name and a skill. The biopic is performed one time only, never to be seen again. Each show is a new and different star that rises and falls or falls and rises or falls and falls, you never know because it's made up! It's like watching Walk the Line or Ray if they were comedies and all the actors were women.
Cast: Kristen Lucas, Kerstin Porter, Melody Goodell, Raquel Powell, Jessica Kane, Erin Coughlin.

Tell us about your group
We are an all female improv and sketch team that was formed about two and a half years ago. We have had girls join and leave, but the group we have now has been together for over a year and a half. There are six performers (and three writers, for when we do sketch.)
What was the best piece of advice on improvisation you’ve ever been given?
Have fun! Or as an improviser would say, "Follow the fun!"
What is your favourite improvisation exercise and why?
Musical Hotspot. It utilizes our inclination to sing whenever something reminds us of a song. Plus it raises the energy!
What’s your pre-show ritual/warm-up?
Ask what we want to do during the show in a group huddle then pat everyone on the back and tell them, "I got your back."
Recommend a book on Improvisation
'Improvise' by Mick Napier. The Annoyance Theater just came to New York, so we are all pretty excited about it.
Anything else you’d like to add about your show, your group, improvisation, or the world in general?
Our group runs the world.. Squirrels! (Sung like the Beyoncé song) We love to play, create and respect each other. We've played throughout the city and it's boroughs and love getting the opportunity to travel.
